VISUAL PHOTOGRAPHY PRODUCTION(MPT 1483)
WEEK2
(17 FEBRUARY 2014)
Bismillah.....
Assalammualaikum..
Yeah....this is our 2nd class...
For this week we have presentations who presented randomly in three titles like asked last week.Only four persons volunteer presented their slides.
When they presenting their slides, our lecturer will add and improve some information based on the title. Then, he gave some handouts as our references and as our homework to understand that notes.
This week I wanna talk about The Mode Dial Nikon D3000. After exploring by myself, I can make some explanation with guiding notes by Dr.J. There are some of modes which can we use in DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) D3000:
i) Program Mode
ii) Aperture Priority Mode
iii) Shuter Speed Priority Mode
iv) Manual Mode
・Mode P (Programmed Auto)
The camera automatically adjusts aperture and shutter speed for optimal exposure, but the photographer can choose from different combinations of aperture and shutter speed that will produce the same exposure. This is known as flexible program.
・Mode S (Shutter-Priority Auto)
The photographer chooses the shutter speed and the camera automatically adjusts aperture for optimal exposure.
・Mode A (Aperture-Priority Auto)
The photographer chooses the aperture and the camera automatically adjusts shutter speed for optimal exposure.
・Mode M (Manual)
The photographer chooses both aperture and shutter speed, providing the greatest latitude for creative expression. Choosing the wrong combination could, however, result in photographs that are too bright (overexposed) or too dark (underexposed). We therefore recommend using the camera exposure indicator as a guide when choosing aperture and shutter speed.
Besides that, there are some additional mode especially for Point and Shoot. It shows in some icons like:
i) Potrait
ii) Landscape
iii) Child
iv) Sports
v) Close Up/Macro
Below shows some explanation for the modes:
